If you're building security tooling, compliance checks, or any kind of code analysis that needs to run inside an AI coding workflow, you've hit the same wall: every agent does hooks differently.
Cursor has its own protocol. Claude Code does it differently. Windsurf has another. Codex does something else entirely. So you end up writing platform-specific bash scripts, maintaining separate integration logic for each tool, and hoping nothing breaks when an agent ships an update. It creates friction in your workflow, and becomes a timely task.
Corridor built Hookshot to help solve this problem.
The problem today
This fragmentation is a product of platforms moving faster than ever before, and hooks became an afterthought. Now, the ecosystem has matured and not having a singular standard is becoming an issue.
What Hookshot does
Hookshot is a unified hook library for coding agents. We built this to implement once, and it works across Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, Codex, and more. Our goal is to give the ecosystem a shared layer so we stop reinventing the same wheel every time we call the hook.
Why we’re open sourcing it
We built Hookshot because we needed it. At Corridor, we’re integrating with every major AI coding platform, and maintaining platform-specific hook logic and special use cases was slowing us down. We wanted a much simpler code implementation that was cross-platform compatible with Go binaries.
At Corridor, we also believe in no black boxes and the value of transparency, and this felt like one of those moments. We’re open sourcing it because the problem is an ecosystem fragmentation, and the solution shouldn’t be proprietary.
